Training is provided by Charlie Halpin who has a diverse background in both the sign industry and vehicle wrap industry. Charlie became a 3M Preferred Installer in June 2011. Let it also be known that Charlie had a wrapped cell phone (size of a brick) in 1988. He has been extensively trained and tested by 3M and has met the 3M standard of care and knowledge for wrapping vehicles. He has also been trained and installed numerous building, wall, floor and concrete wrap applications. BIO:
Charlie (“Wrapman”) Halpin started out in the graphic industry with a t-shirt and sticker company in Banff Alberta in his 20s. He moved to Ontario and started a sign company in Thornhill called Special Fx Signworks, eventually moving it to an office in Mississauga. He acquired Canada 3000 Airlines and Rogers as clients in the 90s wherein he installed all types of cut and silk-screened graphics on trucks, cars and aircraft. In 1991 Charlie raced the Baja 1000 and finished 24th overall. Charlie sold Special FX Signworks in 2001 and was hired as a marketing manager for Harley Davidson Canada. In 2006 he started VehicleWrapz.com and went full time as a specialist in designing, producing and installing quality custom vehicle wraps. The company today is called vWrapz Inc. and still uses the same website Charlie created 10 years earlier. vWrapz operated a shop in Vaughan for 5 years but has since changed to mobile service where Charlie works from a shop on his property in Coldwater, Ontario. All in all Charlie has over 25 years in the sign industry with the last 10 of those years as a custom vehicle wrap specialist. Charlie is also a current working certified Canadian Ski Instructor Pro and he uses technigues he has learned and one he has developed to get complete beginners of all ages safely down steep hills and then he applys this process to wrap training and getting you up and wrapping as fast as possible. He uses a technique of less talk more show. So as you learn – new training facets are introduced at the right time to speed you along.
